I am a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist with over 40 years of experience helping patients with chronic disorders of the brain-gut-microbiome system Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals who struggle with complex, often debilitating conditions—many of whom have seen multiple specialists and undergone countless procedures without finding lasting relief.

My consultations are designed to provide a comprehensive, personalized plan that goes beyond traditional medical treatments. Many of the people I work with suffer from chronic abdominal pain and discomfort, often accompanied by chronic stress, depression, anxiety, sleep problems, trauma, and other physical illnesses that impact overall well-being and quality of life.
Over the years, my philosophy of care has evolved to combine both cutting-edge science, in part generated by my own research program, and the wisdom of ancient healing traditions. My consultations blend medical insight with nutritional guidance, lifestyle recommendations, and mind-body practices such as mindfulness-based stress reduction and meditation.
I also work closely with a trusted team of dietitians, psychologists, and psychiatrists who share my integrative view of health and healing. Together, we aim to support you in creating sustainable changes that lead to lasting improvements.
Because my medical license is issued in California, I am only able to offer telehealth consultations to residents of California. However, I do provide second-opinion consultations for individuals residing outside of California.
